Become a Volunteer Facebook Group Moderator

Help to provide a safe online space for carers and bereaved carers to share experiences and information, chat and build friendships.

LOCATION: HOME-BASED THROUGHOUT THE UK

Are you looking for a home-based volunteering role which fits in around your family, studies or other commitments?

You can make a real difference to carers and bereaved carers by signing up to become a Volunteer Facebook Group Moderator.

As a Volunteer Facebook Group Moderator, you will feel part of a valued team, whilst developing new skills and helping carers and bereaved carers across the UK.

WHY VOLUNTEER FACEBOOK GROUP MODERATORS ARE NEEDED

We understand having a loved-one diagnosed with PSP or CBD can be an overwhelming, confusing and even isolating experience.

Since we know awareness of the condition is low, families often find themselves searching the internet and chat forums to find answers to the many questions you have, tips for caring for a loved one, ensuring you also take care of yourself too, and adapting once your loved one has died.

To provide a place for connection, chat and friendship, we are launching two Facebook private groups in 2025 to serve active carers and bereaved carers.

As a home-based Volunteer Facebook Group Moderator, you will help monitor our closed Facebook groups, provide reassurance and signposting to further information and support.

Training is provided and you will also have access to all PSPA publications and resources to enable you to signpost to other organisations and services.
