Regional PSP & CBD training sessions.

Regional Education Sessions for Health and Social Care Professionals

Our team of Helpline Care Navigators can host short online or in-person education sessions to help you and your team better understand PSP & CBD.

These sessions are around an hour long and cover topics such as:

  • What are common PSP & CBD symptoms?
  • What causes PSP & CBD?
  • How do PSP & CBD symptoms progress?
  • What support people living with PSP & CBD may need at different stages.

Regional education sessions are delivered on a request basis and can be tailored to suit specific roles or environments.

WHO ARE OUR EDUCATION SESSIONS FOR?

Our Regional Education Sessions are available to any health and social care professionals who would like to learn more about PSP & CBD.

Our Helpline Care Navigators regularly host Education Sessions for the following professions:

  • GPs and trainee GPs
  • Specialist Neurological teams
  • Community Outreach teams
  • Parkinson’s nurses
  • Physiotherapists
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Speech and Language Therapists
  • Care home and Nursing home staff
  • Care agency staff.

This is not an extensive list and education sessions can be discussed with the team.

The delivery of regional education sessions may be supported by PSPA volunteers who will also share personal experiences of living with PSP & CBD.

2026 PSPA Regional Awareness Events for HSCPs

Basildon, Essex

As part of our continued commitment to raise awareness about PSP & CBD, PSPA invites you to our FREE Regional Awareness Event for Health & Social Care Professionals (HSCPs) in Essex on Thursday, 24 September 2026.

This half-day event is designed to give a broad overview of PSP and CBD, providing the opportunity to learn more about both conditions, recognising signs and symptoms and ways to manage these.

The event will take place at the Wat Tyler Community Centre, Pitsea Hall Lane, Pitsea, Basildon, Essex SS16 4UH and will run from 2 PM to 4:30 PM.

Registration opens at 1.30 pm.

Refreshments will be provided.

Aberdare, Wales

PSPA is dedicated to raising awareness of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD). As part of our commitment to this goal, hosted a free PSP/CBD information event in Aberdare, Wales, on Friday, 3 July at CYNON LINC, SEYMOUR STREET, ABERDARE, WALES, CF44 7BD

The half-day event provided comprehensive information on PSP and CBD, and gave health and social care professionals the knowledge and confidence to recognise signs and symptoms, understand disease progression, and explore approaches to management and support.

Stirling, Scotland

As part of our continued commitment to raising awareness of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD), PSPA is pleased to invite Health and Social Care Professionals to attend a free PSP/CBD information event in Stirling on Thursday, 18th June at The Barracks, Forthside Way, Stirling FK8 1QZ. Registration and refreshments will begin from 1:30 pm, with the event starting at 1:45 pm.

This half-day event will provide a comprehensive overview of PSP and CBD, supporting professionals to improve knowledge and confidence in recognising signs and symptoms, understanding disease progression, and exploring approaches to management and support.

As part of our continued commitment to raising awareness about PSP & CBD, we invite you to our FREE Regional Awareness Event for Health & Social Care Professionals (HSCPs) in Lincolnshire on Wednesday, 25 March 2026, from 1:15 pm to 4:30 pm, with registration opening at 1:15 pm.

This half-day event will take place at The Petwood Hotel, Stixwould Road, Woodhall Spa, LN10 6QG. It is designed to provide clinicians with the specialist knowledge required to recognise early symptoms, understand disease progression, and implement effective management strategies.

Refreshments will be provided.
