Bradford Support Group

The Bradford Support Group is run by PSPA volunteers, Katie Batty and Christine Foulds.

The group meets on a monthly basis to provide support to local people living with PSP, CBD, their families and carers. It is a place to meet and give mutual support to each other as well as having the opportunity to chat informally and make new friends.

Support Group Coordinator

I'm Katie and I am the Support Group Coordinator for the Bradford Support Group. I became a PSPA Volunteer because my father was diagnosed with PSP in 2023 after a misdiagnosis of Parkinson’s pre covid. I feel a Support Group in our area will be beneficial as I want people and their families to feel they are not alone.

FAQs

How do I get to the Marie Curie Hospice?

The hospice is signposted on both sides of Leeds Road by Upper Seymour Street.

There is a steep hill between Leeds Road and the hospice.

  • From Bradford Interchange: the 72 and 15 run along Leeds Road.
  • From Leeds City Centre Bus Station: the 72 runs along Leeds Road.

Does the Marie Curie Hospice have onsite parking?

There are some parking spaces in the hospice grounds.

Can my carer attend the group meeting with me?

Yes! Support Group meetings welcome people living with PSP & CBD and also their family members, friends and carers.
