Run the Great North Run for PSPA, virtually!

Could you take on the virtual Great North Run on 13 September to help PSPA continue our specialist information and support?

To help motivate and inspire keen and novice runners to take part in the virtual run, the organisers of the Great North Run have created a bespoke app to give people a true race day experience!

The #GRNVirtual app will mimic the race format,  meaning all runners start their virtual Great North Run at the same time, and complete the same 13.1 mile distance.  Runners will be tracked throughout the virtual race and will be able to view results after the race has finished.

As you progress through your own running route you’ll hear the sounds of the Great North Run through audio clips, providing as close an experience as possible to the real event.

Signing up to  the #GNRVirtual event is free of charge and  is open to everyone, regardless of whether someone had a place in this year’s Great North Run. To enter visit https://www.greatrun.org/great-north-run

Once registered you’ll receive information about how to download the official app, and also how to purchase merchandise such as event medal for completion of the event.

As the GNR Virtual is free for participants it’s the perfect event to focus on charity fundraising! PSPA needs your help in order to keep moving forward in our outreach, awareness, and research. After registering create your fundraising page here https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/events/great-north-run
