PSPA Youth Support Group

We are pleased to be launching a new Youth Support Group for young people who care for or have a loved one living with PSP or CBD, thanks to the support of newly recruited PSPA Volunteer Kathryn Embree.

Kathryn’s dad was diagnosed with PSP when she was 16 years old, and it was following her own experience of caring for her father, she realised there is a need for young people affected by the conditions to connect, talk and support each other.

Kathryn, now 21 years old, approached PSPA with the idea and we hope to have the new support group up and running within the next few weeks.

Initially, the Youth Support Group will largely run via regular Zoom meetings and a closed Facebook group, in which members can post questions, chat and provide support to each other.

If you are a young person or know a young person who would benefit from getting involved in the Youth Support Group, please get in touch to register your interest at volunteering@pspassociation.org.uk

Please note, young people under the age of 16 will need to gain permission from a parent or guardian before they can join the group.
