The developing Coronavirus pandemic is currently at the forefront of all of our minds.
Support for the PSP & CBD community
We understand all the information circulating about the pandemic might be confusing, and that you will still be experiencing challenges in your daily lives, whether you are living with, or affected by, PSP & CBD. Although the UK is currently in lockdown, we want to reassure you that PSPA’s support for our most vulnerable members and supporters continues.
Our Helpline Care Navigators (HCNs) are available to help should you want to speak to someone or need information. In response to the Coronavirus crisis, our HCNs are making more outgoing phone calls than ever, ensuring that we continue to support those in most need.
The Helpline is open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm, on 0300 0110 122. Helpline volunteers also provide after-hours support on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7pm to 9pm.
Our website is a haven of useful resources. Whether you are living with PSP or CBD yourself; are a family member or friend of someone affected; or a healthcare professional, we have lots of information and resources you can download at home, to help guide and inform you about the conditions.
In addition, HealthUnlocked is a valuable online community, where you can chat, share experiences and gain support from your peers. We will continue to flag information as well as a number of online activities to help keep you busy during this period of social distancing, on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
Thank you for supporting PSPA
As you would expect, a large part of our vital fundraising activity has been severely affected by the continuing crisis. It is only because of your generosity over the years that PSPA is here to deliver critical services in the current circumstances, and we thank you for the help you have provided in the past.
We appreciate the pandemic is affecting everyone, but we appeal for your continued support during these difficult times. Because of the nature of the Coronavirus symptoms, people living with PSP & CBD are amongst the most vulnerable in our communities. Please help us to continue to develop and deliver our vital information and support services to those most in need.
