So, here we go! Four Sunday’s left before the big day.
I completed the North London half marathon yesterday in 1hr 47minutes – A new PB, maybe all the training is paying off! Was great to cross the finish line with a close friend Oli Palmer.
Of the four Sunday’ remaining I face my two longest runs to date followed by my taper weeks, 19 and then 20/21 miles are my long runs the next two weeks.
Being a teacher and having the Easter holidays is really handy, I’m getting a bit tired of explaining why I’m struggling to walk each Monday morning!
Fundraising is going well and I’m grateful for all the donations so far currently standing at £835. My school is hosting a non-uniform day which will also contribute to my total.
As the big day approaches I need to say a big thank you to all people who are supporting me. Many thanks to the Lion running club and in-particular Pete who is going through the pain each Sunday to keep me going. Also a huge thanks to my girlfriend Karen for her understanding as to why I’m never in the house! Not long to go now! See you all in four Sundays’ time!
