PSPA Youth Support Group

Support for young people aged eight to 30 years old

The PSPA Youth Support Group aims to give young people who care for or have a loved one living with PSP or CBD, a place to come together to chat, share experiences and support each other.

The group will be led by PSPA Volunteer Kathryn Embree, whose dad was diagnosed with PSP when she was 16 years old.

Now 21 years old, Kathryn will coordinate regular group meetings via Zoom as well as administer closed and private Facebook groups, where group members can stay in touch and chat in between meetings.

Access to the Facebook groups is limited and invite only. Kathryn, with support from PSPA staff members, will regularly administer and monitor content within the office hours or 9am to 5pm.

Youth Support Group Meetings will be taking place, on the following dates:

  • Sunday 25 July at 7pm
  • Sunday 22 August at 7pm

To join the Youth Support Group and to receive regular updates about meetings, please email volunteering@pspassociation.org.uk

Once you have completed the Youth Support Group Join Us form, a link for the relevant Facebook group, for ages eight to 16 years old and 17 to 30 years old, will be emailed across along with the group’s Code of Conduct.
