Volunteer Support Workers

Our Volunteer Support Workers perform a vital role in supporting people affected by PSP and CBD – both those with the condition and those close to them.

All our Support Workers are volunteers who have been carefully selected and have undergone a thorough training programme.

Our Support Workers are based in the local community and usually have contact with people over the phone, via email or will visit them in their own home.

Following a diagnosis of PSP and CBD, it can sometimes be difficult for people to know where to turn.

Our Support Workers can give you the opportunity to talk about your feelings and let you know what help is available in your area. This can help to reduce the sense of isolation some people affected by the conditions can experience.

This is a relatively new service, therefore, we do not have cover countrywide as yet.

Family and Friends Day

Our 2018 Family and Friends Day was held on Saturday 29 September at the De Vere Beaumont Estate in Old Windsor, where 80 delegates joined us for a day of information sharing, and a wonderful workshop hosted by the English National Ballet.

Helpline and Information Service

“I spoke to you on several occasions and genuinely do not know how I would have coped at the time without you. You were always supportive, informative and helped steer me through a very difficult time for my husband and me.”
